In-Home Respite Companion Care: (give the caregiver a much-needed break) We offer help with all of your light household chores and looking after your loved one.
$40/hr for two hours minimum.
In-Facility Companion Care: (less advanced symptoms) We offer games, walks, nail care, puzzles, and socializing, and we can accompany you to recreation events in the care home.
$35/hr for two hours minimum.
In-Facility Advanced Dementia Companion Care: (Confusion, Wandering, Challenging behaviours, non-verbal, visually impaired, difficulty handling big emotions, redirection strategies, feeding assistance, sundowning and fall reduction.)
$45/hr for two hours minimum.
Soul Sisters Death Doula End of Life Services
Our goal is to provide the dying and their families with calm, loving, nonmedical palliative support, and we do this heartfelt work with Honesty, Integrity, Dignity, and Grace. End of Life Doulas works with clients to identify, discuss, plan and set in motion their end of life wishes. We fill in "gaps" as they appear by supporting emotional, practical and spiritual needs.
½ Hour Initial Free Consultation
End of Life Planning, including but not limited to:
- Care mapping
- Living Will
- Advanced Directive
- Designation of Alternate Decision Maker (in AB, an Agent)
- End of Life Wishes
- Care Mapping and Family Meetings
$50/hr or a package of all-in planning (10 hours $450 for a single person) or (10 hours $475 for a couple)
Legacy Work
It helps pull the family together and is important for a dying person to do a life review. We do legacy work with the family, and it can take many forms: artistic, music playlists, old photos, videos, stories, love letters, quilts, and scrap booking. The ideas are limitless! When a client is in the active dying stage (also known as Hospice Care), we offer vigil services, either in-home or hospice. If some family members can't be there, we can do a live feed or Zoom call, using technology to our advantage. Some are opting to die at home and have a home funeral service. We can plan for your choice of burial and present options, and we work closely with funeral homes.
